Sonny left farming in the Robsart district of Southwest Saskatchewan for a political career that took him to Ottawa to work for Eugene Whelan, Federal Minister of Agriculture in the Pierre Trudeau government. He shares with us memories of both parts of his life – very different careers yet very connected as well.
